Notice to Bid for Real Property

The Falmouth Retirement Board is seeking proposals from qualified property owners for lease and/or purchase of real property, with buildings thereon and associated parking, to use for the administrative offices of the Falmouth Contributory Retirement System.  The proposed office space should consist of a minimum of 1,800 – 2,400 square feet, provide access to and use of the premises by individuals with disabilities, provide ample parking readily available (including spaces for handicap parking), and be located within the Town of Falmouth, MA.  The option to lease office space shall be for a minimum term of 10 years with an option to extend the lease for an additional 10-year period.  The option to purchase office space shall be at fair market value as determined by a competent real estate appraiser.  Additional terms of lease or purchase to be reasonably negotiated. 

All respondents are hereby advised that any proposal selected shall be subject to: (1) formal approval by the Board in accordance with the specified evaluation criteria, including but not limited to, the best interests of the retirement system, (2) a written agreement, and (3) authorization of the engagement by Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission (PERAC). 

Completed original proposals, electronic copy and hard copy, must be received by email: retire@falmouthretirementma.gov and at the Falmouth Retirement System, 80 Davis Straits, Suite 102, Falmouth, MA 02540 no later than 2:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 16, 2023 and will be publicly opened at that place and time.  Any proposal submitted after this time will not be accepted.  At its discretion, the Board reserves the right to cancel or reject in whole or in part any and all proposals in the best interest of the retirement system.
