The Falmouth Retirement Board is seeking proposals from qualified property owners to lease and/or purchase a parcel of land, with buildings thereon with associated parking, within the Town of Falmouth, to use for the administrative offices of the Falmouth Contributory Retirement System.  The option to lease office space shall be for a minimum term of 10 years with an option to extend the lease for an additional 10-year period.  The Board has determined that the option to purchase is subject to M.G.L. Chapter 30B and Commonwealth of Massachusetts Regulations 840 C.M.R.

The Falmouth Retirement Board unanimously voted to approve a Cost-of-Living Adjustment for FY 2023.  Effective July 1, 2022, a 3% Cost-of-Living Adjustment will be applied up to the first $14,000.00 of a recipient’s annual retirement allowance.  The maximum amount a recipient can receive is $35.00 per month.  Eligible recipients will be those who retired or began survivor benefits on or before June 30, 2021.  Recipients will see this Cost-of-Living Adjustment with their direct deposit on Friday, July 29, 2022.

The Falmouth Retirement Board has conducted a public application process for the position of Fifth Member to the Falmouth Retirement Board.  As of the application deadline, by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, there was only one applicant – the incumbent, Ellen K. Philbin.  Therefore, at its regular monthly board meeting held on May 20, 2021 with all four board members present, the Falmouth Retirement Board unanimously voted to re-appoint Ms.

The Falmouth Retirement Board unanimously voted to approve a Cost-of-Living Adjustment for FY 2022.  Effective July 1, 2021, a 3% Cost-of-Living Adjustment will be applied up to the first $14,000.00 of a recipient’s annual retirement allowance.  The maximum amount a recipient can receive is $35.00 per month.  Eligible recipients will be those who retired or began survivor benefits on or before June 30, 2020.  Recipients will see this Cost-of-Living Adjustment with their direct deposit on Friday, July 30, 2021.
